Love Clean Streets
This site has been built by Nigel Tyrell, Head of Environment at the London Borough of Lewisham, using the new LoveCleanStreets API. It is currently being used to display data from our new iPhone and Windows Mobile apps (in development) while a new version of LoveLewisham is being built. Once the new LoveLewisham site has been launched, this site will be used to demonstrate how the API can be used to build custom applications. The LCS API will share the success of LoveLewisham. Starting in 2004 (as Cam2Web, internal pilot) and launched officially in 2005, LoveLewisham has been nominated for numerous awards and won the New Statesman ‘New Media’ Award in 2006. The aim of the LoveLewisham initiative is to allow residents and partners to post reports and spread the responsibility for reporting environmental issues far beyond the traditional role of managers and staff. visit LoveLewisham
